Prices for finance graduates are rising sharply

Forex – Salaries for finance graduates with master’s degrees from leading business schools have risen sharply in recent months, according to the FT’s new MiM rankings.

In the latest sign of the sector’s recovery compared to other jobs, earnings for those working in banking, financial services and insurance are projected to rise 4% from 2023 to an average of $88,518 at the beginning of 2024, three years after completing their degrees.

That’s a higher annual growth rate than the average MiM grad pay in other fields, led by consulting at $85,000 and technology at $84,000.

The data comes from the latest FT Masters in Management Rankings survey of programmes at the world’s top 100 business schools, led by the University of St Gallen.

The Swiss school has returned to the top spot after dropping to second place last year behind HEC Paris. HEC has dropped to second place for 2024, while French school Insead, newly ranked for MiM, is in third place.
