Forex – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said, “Probably over, but … we’ll see,” when asked whether President Joe Biden will continue in his post after his term ends in January or take on a new administration role.
Yellen said she had more work to do at the Treasury in the coming months and may hold another meeting with her counterpart in Beijing, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, to try to manage the often-tense relationship.
Yellen said she would welcome a visit to the United States but could also go to China, adding, “I think we will make a visit of one kind or another.”
Yellen also said the US-China relationship should be “prioritized and nurtured” by the next US administration, with discussions at the highest levels and among agency staff.
