Forex – The number of companies going bankrupt in Japan increased for the 28th consecutive month on an annual basis; but this time the increase was very limited.

In a statement made by the Japanese research company Teikoku Databank, it was stated that the number of companies that went bankrupt in August increased by 0.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching 746. The number of companies that went bankrupt was at the level of 742 in the same month last year.

Companies announced “recession” as the main reason for bankruptcy. The number of companies that went bankrupt due to the calm was announced as 620.

Companies’ bad debts decreased by 6.8% to 927.6 billion yen. In the same month last year, the bad debt amount was 995.0 billion yen.
